What Is Train It Forward?
Remember your first race? Maybe your first trip to buy “proper” running shoes? Or dealing with your first training setback? We’ve ALL been there. We all started as beginners, asking the most basic questions like, “Do I really need a wetsuit for triathlon?”, “How do I deal with that annoying knee pain?”, or “What’s the proper nutrition on race morning?” Most of us just needed a gentle nudge in the right direction, or perhaps a larger dose of encouragement. One thing is for sure: We never forget those early mentors who filled us with inspiration and confidence.
At StartLine, we’ve created a philosophy by which our community thrives. We call it, “TRAIN IT FORWARD”. So what does it mean? In short, we encourage our veteran athletes to honor their early mentors by sponsoring newer athletes with the same training advice, encouragement and inspiration.
This simple but powerful philosophy unlocks the sense of togetherness that makes StartLine and our running and triathlon club, WITC so unique and special.
